It’s baaack: Obama resurrects ‘vampire’ Bain to suck life from Romney’s jobs record

Obama campaign launches new ad, website about RomneyEconomics. http://t.co/39sYEw0C

— Marc Ambinder (@marcambinder) May 14, 2012

In the new ad, airing in five battleground states, a steelworker describes his employer’s takeover by Romney’s firm Bain Capital:

It was like a vampire. They came in and sucked the life out of us.

National Review campaign correspondent Jim Geraghty points out the biggest flaw in the president’s attack:

For response, look at what @jimgeraghty said: President who shut down 100s of GM/Chrysler dealerships, put thousands of people out of work…

…in effort to save auto industry is now attacking Romney for laying people off while trying to save a business?

And here’s another good tidbit from the Washington Examiner’s David Freddoso:

When you see Obama's ad on Bain, keep in mind that his WH budget director is a Bain alum.

But that won’t stop Obama supporters from taking to Twitter to highlight the campaign’s arguments:

#RomneyEconomics meant bankruptcy for a 103-yr-old steel mill in Kansas City & millions in profit for Romney's partners http://t.co/h1XOfd4v

#RomneyEconomics ran up huge debts in order to pay out big profits to corporate investors: http://t.co/w4kkUKAM

#RomneyEconomics put short term profit ahead of all else, and cost thousands of workers their jobs: http://t.co/HnBxwJ60

The OBAMA TEAM SHOULD RUN A NEW AD EVERY WEEK ABOUT BUSINESS of BAIN CAPITAL KILLING JOBS IN AMERICA AND SENDING THEM OVER SEAS

— James Anthony (@jca19566) May 14, 2012

Ah, yes. All caps, the time-tested method of getting a message across. The “Morning Joe” team was not impressed by the ad:

@JoeNBC @morningmika,even lib Rattner says obama ad on Romney &Bain cheap inaccurate. He was investing so he could pay your families pensions

— Dennis Williams (@WILLIDOK) May 14, 2012

Expect #RomneyEconomics to be a popular liberal hashtag today as progressive foot soldiers pick up their marching orders from Team Obama.

But also expect pushback from the right side of the Twitterverse. These hashtags launched by the Democrats never go according to plan, do they?
