Sen. Boxer: Congress shouldn’t be paid unless they approve of more debt
And by “pay off their debt” they mean “raise the debt ceiling indefinitely”:
Have you ever worked at a private sector job where your paycheck was directly tied to how “successful” you were at driving the company deeper into debt? Of course not, but the rules in the business of public sector liberal politics are much different.
Boxer considers driving up the debt ceiling as “paying the bills,” but all that does is create more bills to pay.
It’s a shame that so many in D.C. consider driving up the debt as “doing their job”:
